About the Department
The Department of Computer Science was introduced in the year 2001 with an aim to generate well energetic IT personnel's to meet the current trends.
"This program emphasizes strength of technical preparation and produces graduates highly capable of working in the computer industry . A solid technical background complemented by experience on real systems, provides the students tools to handle the most demanding aspects of system development, data management and scientific computing.
The program gives students a broad knowledge of Computer Science. The basically the program requires students to take courses in programming ,discrete structure ,data structures algorithms, numerical computation databases, computer graphics ,software Engineering, operating system & programming languages.
The curriculum also allowed students to make a number of electives subjects.
The RCAS training programs are developed to put into action our mission , to continuously upgrade the computing knowledge of our students through rigorous and sometimes exacting training. Keeping in mind the kind of expectation the future holds for the passing graduates .The training program centre on the common office productivity software and programming languages used in day to day business and research activities .
RCAS believe in empowering you with a time -tested system that is put in place by the best brains in the industry .
Teaching method involve a combination of lectures ,tutorials and practical work. Tutorials are provided at all years of the course. The practical works are carried out in supervised laboratories with staff on hand to offer assistance .Laboratories are equipped with modem computing facilities and are accessible to students from early morning to late evening.
All training programs are conducted in labs with high end computers . There are fully air-conditioned student research and teaching laboratories, equipped with workstations that are connected to the internet. These laboratories also function as classrooms and training rooms that can accommodate all the students .The department maintains a library that houses relevant books, journals, magazines, thesis , and special problem manuscripts.
